Can the global debt be paid only with words? Who do words belong to? To whom are they owed?
The project “I Owe You A Word” employs a technique of giving away language—a commoning of words and a bailing out of symbolic debt. In order to constitute the common library of the “Parliament of Bodies,” each artist, curator, student, activist, or visitor is asked to offer two books: one for Athens and for Kassel.
